Experience: Barbara Miller began her career with children’s spaces. As an artist, she created murals and environments that stimulated the imagination. Barbara used her knowledge of color and design and expanded into every room of the home.
Barbara’s professional training supported her desire to create beautiful spaces as she expanded into kitchen and bath renovations, exterior restyling and resurfacing and total remodels. Having worked on redesigns and remodels for several years, Barbara founded Barbara Miller Design in 2003. Since that time she has served clients in the greater Portland area with a focus on Dunthorpe, Lake Oswego and West Linn. She has also had the opportunity to work on projects in several other states and even internationally.
Design Philosophy: Barbara’s designs reflect her own strong belief in home and family. Her priority is to create not only a beautiful space but a functional design that will withstand the daily use of homeowner’s children, pets, friends, or customers. By getting to know her clients, she also incorporates their personality in the design. This includes keeping treasured items as part of the space and always using a clients personal taste preferences as her guide.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, University of Southern California (USC) Associates Degree in Interior Design, Portland Community College
Professional Memberships: American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Affiliate Member, Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID) Associate Member, West Linn Chamber of Commerce
